with Vanilla-Vla

Apple Tart with "Vanilla-Vla"

Ingredients for 10 Persons

  • 300 g wheat flour
  • 180 g butter
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 20 ml lemon juice
  • 2 g lemon zest, grated
  • 60 g whole egg
  • 1 g salt
  • 650 g apples, peeled and pitted
  • 75 g sugar
  • 30 ml lemon juice
  • 10 g starch
  • 2 g cinnamon, ground
  • 600 g frischli Vanilla Pudding
  • 75 ml frischli Whipping Cream 30 %, whipped

Preparation

  1. Combine flour, butter, sugar, lemon juice and zest, egg and salt into a shortcrust pastry and leave to cool for one hour.
  2. Finely dice apples, heat with sugar, simmer for 5 minutes, bind with lemon juice and starch und mix in cinnamon.
  3. Divide the dough into 10 equal pieces, roll out, cover 10 greased small tartelette tins (12 cm), fill with apple compote and add excess dough in a lattice pattern. Bake the tartelette tins at 180 °C for 25 minutes until they turn golden brown and leave to cool down.
  4. Turn out tartelette tins, serve with frischli Vanilla Pudding and garnish with frischli Whipping Cream 30 %.

Tip: You can also serve the pudding with premade apple tarts.
